Birthday Treats and Parties
Written by Elementary Office

Please check with your child’s teacher before sending birthday invitations to school.   For invitations to be handed out at school, the children must have one for every child in the class or all of the boys/girls. The child should ask the teacher’s permission before distributing cards so she can make sure this is the case.  NO edible birthday treats are allowed at this time.  We will post a list of acceptable birthday treats once the school nurse has finished checking the classrooms for allergies.

Student Drop-Off Procedures
Written by Elementary Office

Students should not come to school before 8:30 a.m. for safety reasons as no supervision is provided outside before that time and students must remain outside.  Cars are not allowed in the circle drive between 8:25 and 8:45 a.m.   For the safety of all of our children, we are asking parents to drop their students off on the sidewalk, at the corner of the Jr. High parking lot and the circle drive (just to the East of the Jr. High entrance).   If you are walking your child to the door, please use the new crosswalks.

Do not pass buses parked int he circle drive.  It is against the law.  Students who arrive after 9:40 will be considered absent for half the school day.

If your child arrives late to school, please remember to accompany them into the office to sign them in.  Without your signature, tardies are considered unexcused.

When visiting the Elementary Building, please give us your name and have a license or ID scanned at the school office.  For the safety and security of our staff and students, please do not attempt to visit your child's classroom without checking in with the office first.   Lunches, library books, homework, etc., should be dropped off in the office for the student.  The student will be called at an appropriate time to retrieve the item.  We appreciate your cooperation in this matter.

How Should We Communicate with You?
Written by Elementary Office
In an effort to be a "greener" district, all parents in the elementary school will be the choice if they would like written communication to be given in a hard format or electronically through an e-mail.  All parents are encouraged to frequently check the district web site for the most complete and updated information.
