Richland Transportation Information

At Richland, student safety and clear communication are top priorities when it comes to transportation. Please review the following important information and procedures related to bus routes and student transportation.

Assigned Bus Routes Only

For the safety of all students, students are only permitted to ride their assigned bus route. Riding a different bus is not allowed under any circumstances, unless there is an emergency that has been approved by the school office.

Annual Bus Route Letters

Each year, families will receive a letter with their child’s bus route and stop information prior to the first day of school. Please do not assume bus routes and stops remain the same from year to year—changes may occur.

Stop Change Policy

Bus stop changes will only be made if deemed necessary by the Transportation Office. Please understand that all stop locations are determined with student safety and route efficiency in mind.

Transportation Requests

Requests for changes in transportation, including babysitter arrangements or alternate stop needs, must be submitted directly to the Transportation Office for approval. These are handled on a case-by-case basis.

Alternate Transportation Plans

If your student will not be riding the bus, please notify the appropriate school office with details on how your child will be arriving to and departing from school. This includes daily drop-off/pick-up plans, walkers, or carpool arrangements. Keeping us informed helps ensure the safety and accurate tracking of all students.
