Phil Robb
Phil Robb joined the Richland in 2009. Prior to his time at Richland, Phil attended the University of Kentucky where he received his Bachelor degree in Music Education. In 2014, Mr. Robb earned his Type – 75 General Administrative endorsement and Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Governor’s State University and continued his administrative education obtaining a Chief School Business Official (CSBO) endorsement through Northern Illinois University.
At Richland, Mr. Robb led the Band program as Director of Bands. The program's enrollment grew from 65 to over 200 students during his tenure as the conductor. In addition to his band responsibilities, Mr. Robb taught general music, enrichment, reinforcement, and technology courses. He served on numerous committees including the: School Improvement Plan Committee, District Improvement Plan Committee, Technology Committee, Evaluation Committee, and chaired the Professional Learning Community Committee.
Mr. Robb is a recipient of the 2015 IGSMA Barbara Buehlman Young Conductor Award and the 2017 Quinlan & Fabish Chicagoland Outstanding Music Educator Award. He is amember of the Illinois Association of School Business Officials (IASBO), the Society for Human Resources Management (SHRM), the Illinois Principal Association (IPA), and the Illinois Grade School Music Association (IGSMA).
